Drawling/ art???????????
Hi im 14 and i LOVE to drawl!! i drawl bubble letters and well very anmature stuff.. but i really really really want to learn shading!! it drives me CRAZY!! that i dont know how! do any of you know any really good FREE online programs?? ive drawln this glass of water infront of a window (so there is a nice shadow) hundreds of times but i cant get the shadowin right!! got any tips??? Thanx:):) XxXxXxXxX!!! XD
That's good if you love to draw! Really helps you want to get it right, huh? Well keep in mind that you can make a cool piece of art without shading and stuff, but it is an important thing to learn!
That's great that you have been practicing. Keep that up! I used to not be the best drawer around, but I've improved so much just with practice.
Before you look up a tutorial, try doing this in a more "artist" way. Looking up a tutorial isn't going to help you much with actually seeing the light hit objects, although they can be very helpful at times! Look at other artists' work. See their techniques (smudging and cross hatching are two cool techniques you can get into.) When you draw an object, pay attention to how the lighting in the room is. This will effect the shadows a lot. You must pat attention!
Try this before looking up a tutorial. Don't learn this by having some one tell you how. Learn it more from experience and practice. Good luck!
