What medium/technique should I use for my final art piece?
Hey!! I'm doing my final piece for GCSE Art really soon and i'm pretty sure I know what i'm doing but i've no idea what medium to use! The exam is a 10 hour one so it's meant to be a pretty big/time consuming piece. The theme is 'bags and their contents' and I've gone through school bags, hand bags, tesco carrier bags and i'm going to do a bit on bags of sweets/crisp packets. I was just wondering what people thought would be the best medium to use for this because i'm just really stuck for ideas!! In my sketchbook and for larger pieces i've used acrylics, watercolours, pencils, charcoal, mixed media, glass paints, lino print, modroc, silk painting and i've done some big paper mache models but I dont know whether to try something new? I cant think of any more?! My teacher said it's not based on how many mediums you use, but I just cant think of a cool way of doing it! If you could help that would be brilliant! Thankyou!
Without seeing the things you've done before it's impossible to suggest anything.
I would say that trying a new technique or medium in an exam is not a great idea, things can go horribly wrong. Use materials and a method that you know well and can use effectively. If possible do a practice piece first.
