what is the difference between prop designer and set designer? what does prop mean here exactly?
Hi I am learning english I was studing an english book and part of it was about movies and stuff.
This part gives information about actor. art director,....
I saw prop designer and set designer and got confused because when i refferd to dictionary i realized that prop means items that are in the scene like,glass chair and other things and set means the same thing i think
can you explain me the difference simply?

I think a prop is anything that the actors use or handle with their hands. And a set consists of things that are just part of the background. So, a telephone that a person uses would be a prop, but a lamp that just sits on a table would be part of a set. Each designer would be in charge of these different things.
